In the contemporary Era, there has been a marked decrease of hand writing with traditional tools such as a pen or a pencil. This is a positive development because it brings more convenience and efficiency to the human lifestyle.

To begin with, the diminishing preference for handwritten forms is due to the advent of digital devices. Regarding the former, it does not require numerous tools to make a great essay. Users can easily type, take notes, edit or correct errors without the need of colorful pencils, erasers, and physical notebooks. Additionally, textbooks started to release in PDF files. This has made editing and revising papers become smoother experience for users. For instance, if people have smart pads, they do not need to visit to a bookstore or a library to have hardcovers of textbooks.

The decline in handwriting, however, has brought about both positive and negative implication. As for as the benefits are concerned, with hand written letter, people may feel the sense of warm heart. In addition, it does not require to bring electronically materials for simple writing. On the other hand, the level of recognition of handwriting depends on writers’ writing skills. Also, in order to make writing one paper essay, it consumes ample time for fixing and editing. For example, to submit the essay paper in the class, students should bring many extra pencils and papers. It takes too much time to make one essay.

To sum up, it is clear that technological development are inevitable nowadays, and so in writing. Even though there are numerous drawbacks, advantages for utilizing electronic devices outweigh the negatives.
