It is believed that online friendships are not more significant compared to friendships in reality. In my perspective, I completely disagree with the statement, which will be explained below.
To begin with, although it is limited for contact, friends who people make through social media are as rewarding as the other friends in daily life. People still can find themselves a good relationship as long as they have mutual hobbies or characteristics in various meeting platforms, which also means that online friendships are similar with ones in society but also could be more meaningful than others. For examples, many people feel that they can not make friend in real life because of their personalities so they completely could make the acquaintances via the internet to confine or have fun with if the relationships are healthy.
On top of that, making friends in the internet environment facilitates the integration of residents. Nowadays, social media is becoming more and more common, which is a foundation of many people all around the world to participate in. Therefore, finding friends or soulmates could be easier and also increase social skills of each person, leading to a more sociable personality. To illustrate, the internet is a popular space for international people to be free in making acquaintances or finding friends regardless of ages, religions and races, which creates a bustling environment and contributes to minimize racism.
In conclusion, in spite of an idea that friends meeting directly are more meaningful than others who meet each other on the internet, I strongly support the opposite because of the meaning of online friends and the benefits in the integration
