Friendships that take place in the Internet are considered to be not as valid as those where people meet each other in real life. In my opinion, everyone can build sincere relationship and hit it off even if people are separated by distance.
First of all, if you try to develop a conversation online, you have more chances to create a bond or connection properly because texting online is not as stressful as face-to-face meetings. As a result, you won’t be as shy as you could be and you will be able to make a favorable experience of your communication. Furthermore, online communication is more convenient than real-life contact because primarily it is faster to find your mate online, so you can break the ice much more frequently. Additionally, while you are choosing online touch, you have different ways of communication in your arsenal such as texting, sending emails and video callings.
On the other hand, head-to-head contact has some advantages over online touch because it provides seeing person’s real emotions and behavior. Therefore, you can estimate and guess speaker’s real thoughts about particular situation on which you talk with them. This way, you may make your conversation deeper and understand person’s feelings clearly. Moreover, the current situation in the world is unstable and unpredictable, so what are the chances that everything will not go backwards? Consequently, it is obvious that nose-to-nose connection is absolutely more reliable than Internet friendship.
To sum up, each side has its pros and cons but I believe that online communication is as efficient as face-to-face communication.
