It is true that global warming is becoming one of the most common threats to human life. While there are a number of reasons why this is the case, in my view, several steps can be taken to alleviate this issue.
To begin with, there exist various causes behind the increasing prevalence of global warming over the past years. One major cause of global warming is the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas. These are used to generate electricity and power factories. This gas traps heat from the sun, causing Earth’s temperature to rise. Another important cause is deforestation, which means the cutting down of trees in large numbers for the purpose of farming or construction. The trees naturally absorb carbon dioxide from the air, but when forests are destroyed, the carbon stored in the trees is released into the air, which is harmful to the environment.
Nevertheless, I believe that a range of different measures can be implemented both on an individual and government level to curb global warming. One effective action is to use renewable energy sources like solar and wind power instead of fossil fuels. These sources do not release the harmful greenhouse gases. For instance, installing solar panels on homes to generate electricity helps to produce clean energy. Furthermore, government should focus on planting more trees and protecting existing forests. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and help clean air, making them a natural defense against global warming. For example, many countries are starting tree-planting projects where volunteers plant trees in areas that were once deforested. In conclusion, although multiple causes of rising global warming levels all over the world exist, it is my opinion that governments and people can apply certain solutions to tackle this problem.
