It is argued that students should be allowed to study the subjects which is select by the students only, while other believe that they should study a fixed range of subjects. I would argued that students should have a right to choose their subjects because it will help him in better learning.
On one hand, if pupil is opt their subjects on the basis of their interest it will help them to learn easily and in better way because if the students are leaning that subject which he or she is opt and having interest in that subject then they will learn faster. Sometime some subjects are boring to study by the student perspective but if the students is learning their favourate subjects then it will not be boring. For instance, the survey is conducted by Oxford university in 2025 in which they written that the learner is scoring good in the subject which they opt, compare to the learner which is learning the fixed subjects.
On the other hand, if schoolchildren is learning the subjects which are fixed by the school this will help them to go in any stream in future because the school is adding or teaching that subjects which are required or helping to go in any line of work. For instance, in many schools they are teaching every main subjects which help the students further to opt any profession.
In conclusion, many schools are teaching fixed range of subjects but in my opinion students should be allowed to choose their subjects.
