There is no denying the fact that due to rapidly evolving world cultural differences are losing their identity and value across the globe. While globalization brings some benefits such as it connects the world and removes the barriers among people of different culture and custom, I strongly believe that it is a negative development as traditional cultures losing their uniqueness.
To begin with, the most compelling reason is that all cultures and traditions have their unique identity, pride and connection to the history. To explain this, due to the advancement in technology and globalized world, it has become very common that people follow same fashion trend, eat at the same fast-food chain, and also watch same entertainment options all over in the world. For instance, a survey conducted by a well-known news outlet ‘Cable News Network’ revealed that there is 20 % surge in the international brands sale than earlier due to globalization. As a result, people are less concerned about their rituals, languages and traditions. Additionally, individuals are more focused toward English language and most of other languages are disappearing. For example, recently an article published in a famous newspaper ‘The Hindustan Times’ showed that in nineteenth centuries more than 100 languages were in existence but now only 20 are surviving.
Nevertheless, it offers some benefits as it brings people together and also bridge the gap between various traditions and cultures.
To conclude, although it has some advantages but does not outweigh the drawbacks. If it is handled wisely and responsibly, it can offer significant benefits and also preserve our culture. ( do correction only without modification)
