Several people believe that it is more vital to spend a large amount of money on solving problems on earth than on space programmes. Although it is extremely difficult to argue against the opinion, in my view, humanity must finance the space industry.
On the one hand, the government spends numerous resources on interplanetary space exploration while there are problems such as poverty, climate change and crime hire on our globe. Undoubtedly, the government needs to pay attention and spend money on these issues. But on the other hand, If the government refuses to fund the space branch, people will be denied promising opportunities for the future development. There are a number of reasons why it is necessary to invest in the area.
Firstly, the space industry is an area of technological breakthroughs. It has given us many inventions that changed life on globe. For example, cordless headphones, computer mouse, ear thermometer were made for space exploration. It is certain that with continued space travel, mankind will acquire a lot more useful devices. Secondly, it is necessary to observe our world condition and predict changes in climate. For instance, NASA satellites measure sea level and size of clouds, orbiting Earth. Thirdly, it is essential to keep an eye on objects that come close because it could help to defense our planet in the future.
In conclusion, although there are a lot of problems on the home planet, from my perspective, mankind need to look to the future because one of the most important conditions to evolve and avoid serious difficulties is to support space programmes.
