Nowadays, home-schooling is chosen by more and more people. However, i do not believe that this form of studying is more benefical than participating in private or state school. In this essay, some reasons will be given to prove my argument.It is reasonable that parents choose to educate their children at home-schooling. The major point is the safety and privacy. Learning at home means that children do not need to suffer from bullying, traffic congestion and other unsecured problems. Especially for the children in wealthy family or who is famous at a young age, the privacy ensures that they will not be affected and interrupted by other people during their study time. Moreover, home-schooling allows us to organize a focused curriculum on selected subjects and flexible schedule. Some individuals decide to follow a particular field of study. Because of that, home-schooling helps them ro reduce some unwanted subjects and put all of their effort in the ones they choose. Young talents prefer home-schooling due to its flexible timetable which does not affect their personal working schedule.
Nevertheless, if compared to private and state schools, home-schooling still has several problems. A significant one is that children have less friends and relationships. Due to the lack of socialisation, they are likely to be awkward and find it difficult to connect with others. In addition, students at state and private schools are given more opportunities for extracurricular activities or can attend various clubs. These activites give them priceless experiences, memories and skills. Furthermore, they also help children to understand themselves better and have specific plan for their career in the future.
In conclusion, we cannot deny that home-schooling is more and more popular. However, it still has some drawbacks. I hope that these issues can be improved in the near future
