Some people believe that homework is crucial in students educational success. I completely agree with this view because homework develops children’s practical skills after theoretical lesson.
One reason why homework is necessary is that it teaches them independence and responsibility. The reason for this is that at school they learn academic material with teacher and with their students, and homework is for independent study and review. For instance, students who complete all homework given by teacher, usually achieve more success than students that do exercises only at school. As a result, they may become more responsible both inside and outside school and capable of acting alone.
Furthermore more, homework assists students to be more disciplined, especially it is significant for primary school. Since their young ages, they learn how to work hard and follow the schedule. A good example of this is that every day students wake up, go to school, study their lessons and in advance know that they have to do their homework. Children who done all their homework by themselves, usually achieve more academic success, due to the fact that this contributes to approve students planning skills and self-controled.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that that homework make a significant contribution to students academic success. It makes education easier for teachers, allow students revise and learn part of material they have received at school by themselves. In addition, homework work is beneficial for children’s self organisation. All in all, homework enables students to improve their academic performance.
