Band 4: Housing and accommodation has become a major problem in many countries around the world. What are some of the main factors that have contributed to this problem? What can be done to help reduce the number of homeless people? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

As the population increases day by day, housing and accommodation has become a crucial problem around the world and many people are rendering homeless in the street. On my mind Inflation is one of the biggest factor contributing in this devastating situation, as many people are migrating from rural areas in search of jobs and making big cities saturated. I would say government should make schemes to control the relocation of unemployed individuals and provide them opportunities in their homeland so everyone can be in peace. Other than that, the problem is also rising by exclusively birthing, in Asian countries many families think the bigger the household the good they will be in their old life. Oh my, is this idea for real? The concept has to be definitely changed to control the overcrowding issue.

Moreover, nowadays a concept of nuclear family is increasing in society, every person is struggling to make a new house for their newlyweds, making high demand for houses. People should live in joint family just like old days, so that they can have two more hands for help and it will also decrease the housing shortage in a tremendous way. Every bread earner has owned a house nowadays but only two or three people live in such a big house. Furthermore the great impact is also made by social media and influencer which convey the lavish lifestyle by making people see their fake lives and their big houses which make them desire a bigger house than they own.

I believe the matter is on peoples own hands they should avoid being luxurious and buy the home they need only so the rest of the land can be utilized by others.
