Band 7+: How has technology affected the types of relationships people have? Has this been a positive or negative development?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

in modern society, technology has transformed the way people communicate and form relationships. Moreover, it has made it easier to connect with others around the world as for my perspective this is a positive development because it helps individuals maintain personal connections despite physical distance.

technology has significantly changed the way people establish and maintain relationships. In the past, relationships were mainly developed through face-to-face interactions, and the lack of modern communication tools often made it difficult to stay in touch with people who lived far away. However, with the development of smartphones and social media platforms, individuals can now form friendships with people from different countries and maintain contact with family and friends regardless of geographical distance. Furthermore, online educational platforms allow students to connect with classmates and teachers, exchange knowledge, and develop relationships based on shared academic interests. For example, students studying abroad can easily communicate with their families through video calls and messaging applications without having to travel home.

In my opinion, this is a positive development because technology improves people’s quality of life and provides easier access to education and information. For example, people living abroad can stay connected with their loved ones, reducing feelings of loneliness and homesickness. Moreover, individuals can attend online classes, learn new skills, and access educational resources from home. The internet also allows people to stay informed about global events and develop a better understanding of the world. Although excessive use of technology may reduce face-to-face interaction, I believe its benefits outweigh this drawback

In conclusion, technology has transformed the way people form and maintain relationships. I believe this is a positive development because it improves communication, provides educational opportunities, and increases people’s awareness of the world.
