It is sometimes argued that parents should be responsible for their children ill behaved. From my perspective, I only partly disagree with this opinion.

There are many reasons that I agree with this view. Firstly, most juvenile crimes are committed by teenagers whose parents are neglectful their emotions. This is essential because, although they may seem mature, they are actually unable to make sound decisions or engage in thoughtful thinking, which can lead to criminal behavior. Secondly, caring of parents also has a positive impact on a child’s behavior. For example, parents are encouraged not to use strong language to prevent children from imitating it later.

However, there are those who oppose holding the parents responsible, it is very difficulty of parenting in child education. Firstly, adolescents often have a tendency to imitate. Every day, they are exposed to their surroundings such as school, internet, neighbors… These things are unlikely to supervise by parents. Secondly, teenagers are in their growing years so they are very hot-tempered and prone to making decisions without thorough consideration. This is easy to explain because when we are hot-tempered, we often do unpredictable things, which are called reckless. These things are beyond parent’s supervision.

Summing up, if we want to reduce the number of such crimes, we need to make parents take more responsibility.
