All over the world, the improvement in health, education, and trade is necessary for the development of nations, especially poorer ones. Some people think that the governments of richer nations need to take more responsibility for helping the poorer in such areas. From my point of view, I partly agree with this way of thinking, which will be mentioned in this essay.
On the one hand, richer nations possess the resources and expertise needed to support poorer countries in essential sectors. This is because international cooperation improves global stability and equality. To be more specific, developed countries can provide financial aid and advanced technologies to improve healthcare and education systems in developing countries. For example, during the Covid-19 pandemic, wealthier nations donated vaccines and medical equipment to poorer ones, which helped save millions of lives in those countries.
On the other hand, developing countries should not depend entirely on external assistance but should focus on building self-reliance. One of the reasons is because sustainable growth requires domestic reforms and good governance, not just foreign support. For example, several Asian countries, such as Vietnam and South Korea, have achieved remarkable progress by implementing effective economic reforms and anti-corruption policies rather than relying heavily on foreign aid.
To sum up, although wealthy countries may have the responsibility to share their resources and expertise to assist poorer nations in areas such as healthcare, education, and trade, these nations must also make their independent efforts so that these countries can achieve sustainable development in the future.
