It is a big matter of concern that senior citizens are being put in old homes,, these days. I believe the government should be responsible for their living costs because they could not receive support from their families or they have paid tax throughout earning time to the central.
First of all, the first reason is that there are many families who have a low level of income, and today the inflation rate is too high. In other words, they are unable to achieve their own expenses. As a result, they take their parents to old homes, hoping the government will fulfill their all living expenses. For instance, in the USA, it is a rule that whenever children are financially unstable and unable to support their elders, they must be sent there where better living and health facilities are provided by the central authority.
Secondly, taxes have been collected from the people throughout their income or other income by administration; they hope that whenever the time of retirement comes, the government will impart them basic support to survive. It means financial help would be got from central when older people unable to earn after seventy years. To exemplify, the government of Canada is deducted some extra income tax from the people for helping them to survive in old age.
To conclude, people who have been living in old age homes should be assisted by the authority. In fact, some unfortunate families are incapable of looking after elders or who have been paying taxes; those people ought to be helped with financial aid by the government.
