There are various problems because of shift of people towards urban cities. To begin with, houses and roads would be congested as the population increases, which can also lead to productivity loss, because employees or workers would struck in traffics for longer periods. Moreover, activities such as robbery and crime would spike a high percentage in the cities because of the some of the umemployed people might become a prey for these. Therefore, these are few problems which are more likely to occur immediately because of overpopulation.
On the other hand, there are also few solutions which the government can tackle this problem. Firstly, the government should ensure that job opportunities are provided across the country to reduce the movement of people which can decrease crowding of cities. It can be done by establishing the right industries based on geography of the town or even by attracting investors to create more work opportunities for people by introducing tax free cities. Futhermore, the government should also adopt various policies such as family planning and make sure the individuals adhere to it, to restrict the no of members in family to specific number. Hence, by adopting steps like these would reduce the populations concerns.
In conclusion, the government should immediately take preventive measures to avoid issues such as productivity losses, and crimes and robberies by implementing new policies or schemes such as creating job opportunities and adopting family planning.
