Band 7+: in many countries around the world real people are moving to cities so the population in the countryside is decreasing

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Urbanization has occurred in numerous countries around the world, arguably causing a drop in population in remote areas. In my opinion, I believe that it is important to keep populations spread rather than just concentrated in the city, while living in a town is often difficult due to its limited access.

On the one hand, it is reasonable that a lot of individuals decided to move from their village. One of the main reasons is that the city offers uncountable opportunities that could enhance the quality of life. It has been proven by the fact that many job vacancies are available, and the salaries offered are mostly more competitive compared to rural areas. In addition, public facilities such as schools, hospitals, and transportation are way better in all aspects.

On the other hand, if this practice lasts for a long time, the city will become overwhelmingly crowded. The price of a house and rent would also be affected due to the imbalance of supply and demand for property. Likewise, the life ecosystem in rural areas tends to be difficult because economic activity can run properly. For example, some schools in the countryside of Japan have turned down their operations because no new students want to enroll.

In conclusion, it is prevalent that people have the will to go to metropolitan areas in order to get better opportunities that are not available in remote ones. However, if this action happened massively and was unpreventable, the life ecosystem outside the urban area would be threatened in terms of economy and sustainability.
