In today’s modernized world, the appearance of buildings, towns and cities plays an integral part of cultural identity. An influx of people consider that countries should preserve their cultural heritage by building all structures in a traditional style. I complete agree that protecting cultural heritage have merits for cultural diversity.
One of the fundamental ground why countries should build in a traditional style that it can reflect countries originality. Countries should have their backgrounds and characters that indicates the values of countries. For example, Samarkand has been one of the popular region with its historical buildings and old buildings constructed with authentic patterns. When countries continues to construct traditional structures, they do not lose their own character.
Moreover, the second reason worth mentioning points is that traditional style prevents cultural similarities. Countries have been similar due to the lack of ideas and copying. Decreased cultural identity, making cities look similar regardless of which country is it. Homogeneity of architecture that unique styles and traditions are replaced, leading to loss of authentic of country. For instance, nowadays many countries copy architectural signs each other and this is contributing to similar structures in all governments.
In conclusion, I would like to once again reiterate my view that using traditional styles in construction can be beneficial for culture, significantly contribute to preserve originality and cultural diversity.
