Band 6+: In many countries, more and more people choose to buy imported food rather than food produced locally. Why do people buy imported food? What could be done to encourage people to buy local food?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, in many countries, it is becoming increasingly common for people to purchase imported food rather than local one. People desire to consume international food due to its high quality and safety. The government should not only minimize the price of local food but also focus on its safety and taste.

The key reason for choosing imported food is that countries import better products from around the world, since people select high-quality and safe foods to consume. Therefore, now, the requirement is high among people, resulting in an improvement in international imports. For instance, during the transportation process, products are kept frozen or special containers that allow them to keep their taste. As a result, people buy imported foods without worries about their prices, instead of local ones.

However, paying attention to imported products can negatively affect local foods. Because people are reluctant to buy local foods, they are not sold long time, and it can cause them to lose their quality. To tackle this problem, the government should reduce the cost of local foods and it should be flavor. After this, citizens will start to consume local foods rather than imported ones. Thus, if there is an increase in the trade of food, it can lead to a boost in the economy of the country.

In conclusion, people prefer imported foods to local ones today due to the high quality and safety of products. However, the government focuses on the price of local foods and their quality, so people do not need to purchase foods that come from abroad.
