In recent days, an increasing number of people are concerned about the ideal way of punishment for offenses. However, whether jail is the most beneficial system rather than an educational approach to compensate for crimes. My view is that the punishment would have a more effective impact on society.
First, it is obvious that individuals feel scared and endeavor to obey the rule when there is a likelihood of facing adverse conditions. For instance, according to a survey by Keio University, drivers pay attention to traffic law under situations that prisoned more than getting instruction by the police. Thus, harsh penalties should play a crucial law in complying regulations.
Moreover, criminals have to be responsible for victims to compensate for their retribution. Sufferers who were damaged by culprits keep living with grudges. If offenders obtain judgments, it would make them more comfortable. Hence, the punishment most likely creates contributions to someone who got injuries.
This is not to say that schooling for criminals is not needed. Of course, there is a problem that a lot of offenders are imprisoned after leaving prisons. However, other institutes would be able to rehabilitate them to come back to communities such as occupation. For example, there are 10 thousand staff who teach morals and habits to people who were unleashed.
In conclusion, jail is necessary for citizens to live without taking care of getting injured by offenders. Meanwhile, we should not ignore the importance of education to them to prevent crimes again. Only by doing so can, the government can protect their residents and maintain sustainable development.
