Nowadays, many people often use social media platforms to receive information and news. Although social media is the easiest and fastest way to access to information. Some believe that social media destroys traditional journalism and makes it even easier to create fake news. From my perspective, I strongly agree that social media often have many fakenews which can leads to misinformation.
On the one hand, social media, such as Facebook and TikTok, are a popular way that people often use to check the news. The major reason is how fast and recently the information they can receive at the time. For example, during covie-19 period people can not receive a traditional kounalism like newspaper of mangazine due to lock down situation, this force socity to change thier habit form a paper to eletronic device such as mobile phone to get the information. In addition, now most of the application desigh to interact with the user which create to make people can write their opinion to the publice. These build a diverse society which is a positive way of acceptation the other.
However, because every one can post thier opinion and information themself by no filtering or no gatekeeping before express to public can easily lead to misinformation. Unlike newspaper which use many people and have many process to write. Moreover, when tranditional journalism was uncommon, people never buy it anymore espacially new genaration. It posible that newspaper would be diaapeare in the future.
In my opinion, social media is the quickest way to receive the information and news but they have to check the fact before beliving that information.
