Social media has become a principal source of informations. The dependence on this social networking raised the worries about the spread of the false informations, and the mistrust of the journalism. There is two sparked opinions, one believe that social media must control their platforms, while others argue that the intervention will spread stifle the transparency of contents. This essay will discuss both opinions before i give my opinion.
From the perspective of those who think that the the social media companies should take a step and control the content, because nowadays the false informations and the lies are spreading like a wildfire. For example, a recent research showed that misinformations are tend to be believed 40% more than in the past, because of the news in social media. Therfore, the social media companies should held responsible for everything in their platforms.
On the other hand the people who argue that excessive control on these platforms will affect the transparency of the news. Moreover this mesures will minor the sound of the truth and will lead to limite the quality of the published news. We take an example the north korea where the nwes there are limited and the abuse powed over the press make the news less transparent.
To sum up, the abuse power on the press and social media will lead reduce the reality of the published nwes, while without control will increase the level of the misinformations. In my opinion the informations must be published in a transparance way without restriction.
