Nowadays, many countries around the world famous people especially in sport earn significantly high salaries. There are widespread different opinions about this, while some people claim that they deserve their higher salaries, others think that sports stars earn too much money. This essay will discuss both views and I give opinion.

On the one hand, major sports leagues generate billions of dollars in revenue through ticket sales, broadcasting rights, merchandise and sponsorship. However, paying top sportsmen a lot of money has its downsides. Therefore, it will discourage people who choose to pursue careers in other fields. In other worlds, doctors and engineers usually work and study harder than athletes and get paid even less. Moreover, the money spent on them could be spent in other important areas. This is because education and healthcare are vital aspects of our modern society while sport is considered a luxury.

On the other hand, professional sports stars earn high salaries for several reason. Firstly, some athletes possess exceptional skills and talent and their unique abilities can significantly impact a team’s success. Secondly, sport stars typically have short careers due to physical demands and injures. High salaries compensate for the relatively brief period during which they can earn income from their sport. In addition, the idea behind paying athletes such large sums of money was to allow to be able to focus on his sport without having to worry about financial issue’s.

In conclusion, paying top sportsmen a lot of money will encourage them to better perform. The main reason given to support this claim is that everyone will try hard to become a high-level athlete.
