Today, many schools and universities focus more on STEM subjects. These are science, technology, engineering and math. Some people think this is good, but others worry that arts and humanities are becoming less important.

STEM subjects are very useful. They help students get good jobs in the future. For example, engineers and computer workers are needed in many countries. Also, these subjects help the economy grow because people make new things like apps, machines and medicine. That is why many governments want more students to study STEM.

However, arts and humanities are also important. Subjects like history, literature and music help people understand culture and emotions. They teach us to think in different ways and be creative. If we only study STEM, we may forget how to express ideas or understand other people. This can be a problem for society.

In conclusion, STEM is very important for jobs and progress, but we should not forget the value of arts. Both kinds of subjects are needed. It is better to have a balance in education.
