Band 5+: In many countries, there is an increasing reliance on processed foods, leading to various health problems. What are the primary reasons people choose processed foods over fresh alternatives, and what steps can governments and individuals take to reverse this trend?

Globaly, the level of processed food that being consumed has significantly arise which can cause a variety of health and environmental issues. This predicament are caused by the advancement of technology and the demand of society. But there are some measures that can be done to address this rising problem.

Modern science and its advancement in food technology serves us with variety of option on how to serve our food. There is a lot of modern machinary that can processed our food with added chemicals which scientificaly proven to be bad for our health if consumed long-term. This modern technology also align with people’s demand for a faster way to have food ready at their table. Nowadays, majority of people are obligated to work with more difficult tasks and longer hour. Therefore, society demand a faster way to attain their food with less energy and time. So we can say that the level of demand and new technology strives to create the most efficient way to fulfill your guts.

To tackle this root causes, government and its people should advocate healthy eating. The government should create a programm that starts from schools and work places that encourage people to serve real food at their canteen. Campaign is also another way for the government to educate this problem. Through various social medias, government and society should strongly voice the risks of processed food. It is the best platform to voice the problem because almost everybody in this world have atleast one social media account.

In conclusion, the advancement of food technology and the people’s needs of food are the main reasons as to why there is a global rise of processed food consumption and its negative affects. But the government and its people can tackle and prevent this problem by implementing program about real food and advocating the importance of it.
