In many nations, many graduates with high qualifications still have problems seeking job opportunities. In this essay I will explain the causes of this issue and the way to solve it
On the one hand, there are several problems which cause this issue and the first one is lack of practical experience. Many young people now care more about academic knowledge than practical experience. As a result, when they have to start a job after graduating, graduates will struggle to understand the requirements of the task and cannot do it effectively ; therefore, they will be fired to be replaced by people with practical knowledge. The second reason is lack of businesses while there are too many graduates finding employment. This leads to excess human resources in the labor market and occuring unemployment after graduation. Consequently, graduates tend to seek a job unrelated to their major despite achieving an excellent degree.
On the other hand , there are myriad methods to alleviate these problems. Participating in some jobs that refer to their major or hands -on experiences in society before graduating is an appropriate way for students to gain practical knowledge and to prepare for starting a job, and universities can also provide some practical training during courses. For example, they can opt for some part-time jobs like waiters, tutors, factory or office workers, which can help them experience real-life situations in society. Another solution is that the government should cooperate with businesses to set a budget on expanding a variety of employment to give more job opportunities for graduates , so the student unemployment rate will be reduced.
In conclusion, although plenty of highly academic graduates face unemployment globally. However, I believe that this issue should be solved by the collaboration of the government and businesses.
