In modern society, many individuals argue that primary schools ought to teach science and technology instead of history and geography, which are useless and boring. I disagree with this statement because history and geography should be included in the school curriculum.
To begin with, there are several reasons why a majority of individuals think that primary schools should be taught science and technology. Firstly, if students learn science subjects at school, they will gain knowledge about all aspects of science, thereby increasing their understanding and knowledge. Secondly, when students learn technology in their school, they can improve their skills and thinking. Technology not only helps students learn about their work but also improves their learning skills.
On the other hand, there are certain reasons why I believe history and geography should also be included in the school curriculum. First and foremost, as students learn history in their school, they gain knowledge about their culture, customs, traditions, and beliefs. It is also one of the best ways to acquire knowledge about their forefathers and stay in touch with their history. Moreover, geography is also important to teach at school because students learn about global issues and their environment. These subjects are not useless and boring if teachers teach them in an interesting way and use maps, visuals, and storytelling, thereby making learning more enjoyable and rewarding. Hence, these are reasons why I believe these subjects are important to include in the school curriculum.
In conclusion, nowadays many people believe that primary schools should teach science and technology rather than history and geography, which are useless and boring, but I disagree with this statement because history and geography should be subjects in the school curriculum.
