There has been a rapid increase in the use of private cars in most countries around the world. Loads of cars are now on the roads and fewer people are making use of public transports. In my opinion, this is a negative development which can lead to air pollution and potentially traffic congestion.
One serious problem that can arise from usage of vehicles is that it can lead to air pollution. Most of the cars release gas since it is driven by it, and that causes carbon dioxide to prevail over the actual oxygen around the earth. As a result, we breathe air that is not as healthy while we could have inhaled one that consists mostly of oxygen. The higher percentage of carbon dioxide in the climate can obviously lead to sicknesses.
Another problem that occurs is that it causes traffic. In other words, a lot of cars are on the road and the movements are slow since they are stuck behind each other. This is very concerning for people who might be in a hurry to arrive at their destination. For example, ambulances that are taking their patients to the hospital might not be able to arrive in time and that can lead to the patient’s death. This means that there will be a loss of a human being and eventually many more decreases in the population will occur.
In conclusion, even though it is more comfortable to have a ride in private cars, it has brought too many problems for this to be considered a positive trend. It is highly recommended to take public transport. It is more eco-friendly and will lead to a major decrease in traffic.
