Many claim that in order to achieve success in the field of sports, an athlete must have access to the most technologically advanced equipment. However there are other set of people who believe the opposite, and I agree with them; that one can achieve success even without them.
In order to be a good sportsperson and achieve success in their field, one must have determination to get better. It means that an athlete requires a mindset enabled with rifle-approach towards the improvement of their skillset. Because if one lacks required skill and mindset of an athlete; even after being in possession of the newest tools, their success won’t be guaranteed. New technology does make things easier to a certain extent but playing sports has more to do with what one brings to the table.
Furthermore, a great coach can turn stone into gold. Since being a good coach comes with knowledge of variety of training techniques, and a sharp eye to read the player; with the help of a curated plan of action for a specific athlete, success can be guaranteed. For example, in the movie karate kid 3, the male protagonist is taught kung-fu through ancient Chinese techniques that focuses on mastering both his techniques and his mindset by his mentor, and on the other hand, the male antagonist is taught to use developed tools to get better at fighting. The male protagonist wins in the match. The key takeaway from this example is that the approach of both the trainers was different but the curated training plan helped the male protagonist become better at karate.
In conclusion, advanced versions of equipment can help in simplifying certain aspects of one’s training, it is through a sportsperson’s determination (mindset), how much they work on their skillset and with help of a good coach can they achieve success.
