In today’s world, it is believe that female students are mostly interested in arts while boys rather science. Such difference in boy’s and girl’s likings have various reasons which is going to be discussed in this essay and I am going to share my own opinion about whether this tendency should be changed or not.
Firstly, female and male students decisions can vary due to various reasons such as their parents likings. For instance, most parents want their sons to become engineers or doctors, while they encourage their daughters to become an actress or a singer. There is no scientifical explanation for this way of thinking but it can be seen through observation of parents behaviours. Moreover, the other reason can be that personalities can differ from one gender to another. For example, girls are mostly looked at as humans who are far more emotional when compared to boys and therefore they mostly avoid careers like becoming a surgeon.
In addition, I wholeheartedly believe that we need people from different genders to take part in every type of career, which means that this tendency should be altered in near future. One main reason is that some girls may want to enroll in science programs but because of the male’s overpopulation in classes they decide not to follow their dreams and enroll in arts programs instead. Such events are an obstacle for the society we are living in and they should be tackled in the fastest way possible. In addition, we need people from different genders to share their ideas in different fields. As a result, we need boys and girls to be employed in different fields, from arts to science without paying attention to their genders.
In conclusion, the main reasons behind the difference in boy’s and girl’s decision makings in schools and universities is their parents fantasies about their children’s success and differences in students personalities. However, this difference in decision makings should be changed because it may persuade students not to follow their educational dreams and we may not be able to use ideas of people from all genders in different fields.
