All countries have their own healthcare system with many methods apply. There are two common methods which are free healthcare paid by the government and divided payment between the state and the people themselves. Both methods have advantages but followed with some consequences.
Firstly, we have divided payment between the state and the people. Sometimes this method is chosen in developing countries since their own people lack of ability to buy certain insurance or maybe the state is not strong enough to pay it by itself. The authority already set some budget as well and there is a governmental office specially created to manage it. One of this methods benefit is helping most citizens in developing countries to get better treatments for themselves while supported by the country. Because the salary is only enough for daily needs and savings, they tend to neglect about tertiary part which is accidental budget. Even they can spare for it, the amount itself is few. With divide payment healthcare system, they can feel safe if anything bad happens because their country helps them by covering some of the budget. But problem happens when the country can not manage it budgets well. It will burden the country and lead to take some debts from stable country. If this system is falling, citizens may lose its chance to have a better healthcare system for themselves.
Secondly, we have free healthcare system paid by the state. This method mostly used in stable countries since the country’s profit from any sectors rockets. The citizens don’t have to chip in some of their money or even cut from their monthly salary. All citizens have their own ID number so when they go to hospital to get some treatments, they already cover it free. This method comes with advantage for the government itself which is trust from their citizens. There will not be any neglected feelings because citizens already maintain by the state itself. But this kind of method can’t cover all treatments available since the price range come in many. Also, some private hospitals don’t have this feature since their operational budget are already high and can’t be covered by the cost provided.
From those methods given, I think one another can be better depend on the country’s ability to manage their budget. If the country is strong enough, it may choose the second option. But, if the country struggles on managing its budget, then it might better to choose the first method. Even tough each country has its own capabilities, it is better to plan it ahead so the risks which might happen in the future can be mitigated well.
