Band 5+: In some places, groups of teenagers occasionally cause trouble by behaving badly. What do you think are the reasons for this problem, and what might be done about it?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is true that many teenagers behave badly in some occasions in several areas. This phenomenon can be caused by several reasons and the right solutions must be imposed in order to address it.

To begin with, teenagers’ behavior can be influenced by their surroundings and habits, and the most possible causes are less control of parents and the influencing of social media. Firstly, lack control of parents can make their children act freely in their society without paying attention to its effect on their surroundings. For instance, some adolescents who have never been taught about the bad impact of speaking loudly in certain places such as library and train might think that it is okay to do that. As a result, they will disrupt people around them that need a quite place to to their activity and they will be classified as a person with bad personality. Another possible reason is the influence of social media towards their habit. The unfiltered informations gained from the social media can also be considered as a good information for some of that group of age based on their perspective. For example, if some teens are exposed more with bullying activity in their social media, they may think that it is merely a fun activity to tease their friends at school; however, in fact, the are taking part in raising bullying case in their environment. Therefore, the more they get exposed to bad contents provided in social media, the more they act badly in their lives.

Those problems can be tackled by enhancing the role of parents to control their children and by making several strict rules at school to regulate how they behave in society. The first possible solution recommended is controlling the teenagers at home. Parents as the closest group to the teenagers must nurture them to be a good person in the community because their surroundings will be their second family that might help them in several conditions. A second solution of that problems is integrating strict rules at schools as teenagers learn not only from their family but also from their school. If their school can provide more proper regulation to limit their bad action to their friend, It would be possible to reduce the number of their misbehavior and will make them more careful to behave.

In conclusion, less parenting and control from parents and the effect of social media’s content can be causes of why tenagers behave badly; having siad that, by enhancing the role of the parent and creating a strict rule at school could be the possible remedies.
