Band 6+: In the developed world, the average life expectancy is increasing. What are the problems associated with this?Suggest some measures that should be taken to reduce the impact.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In many developed countries, people are living longer than before. This situation can create several problems for individuals and society, and some actions should be taken to reduce its impact.

One of the main problems is economic pressure. As people get older, many of them stop working, so there are fewer workers in the country. This means less tax is collected, while the government has to spend more money on pensions and healthcare. Elderly people often need medical treatment, which can be very expensive. As a result, this puts a heavy burden on the economy and also affects younger generations.

To solve this problem, several measures can be taken. Firstly, governments can increase the retirement age, so people can work for a longer time and continue to pay taxes. Secondly, older people can be encouraged to do part-time jobs, which helps them stay active and support themselves. In addition, promoting a healthy lifestyle can reduce health problems, so governments will spend less money on healthcare.

In conclusion, an ageing population can cause serious economic problems, but there are some effective solutions. Governments should take action to reduce these negative effects.
