In the future, all vehicles will be driverless and the only people travelling inside them will be passengers. In my view, the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages, although some issues still need to be addressed.
On the one hand, driverless vehicles can significantly improve road safety. People sometimes do not remember following the safety rules while driving, which lead to accident.Automated systems can strictly follow traffic rules and react quickly to any danger. Moreover, the use of artificial intelligence can help organize road traffic more efficiently, which may reduce traffic jams in large cities. In addition, if autonomous vehicles are electric, they can also help to decrease air pollution.
On the other hand, this technology may create some problems. First of all, driverless transport may lead to job loss. Truck drivers, bus drivers and taxi drivers are afraid of losing their jobs or their stable income. Secondly, driving cars with driverless can be dangerous, there is a risk of technical failures or cyber-attacks. If the system is hacked, it may cause serious danger for passengers and society. Finally, autonomous technology is still developing, and it may not always respond correctly in unusual or complex driving situations.
In conclusion, despite the possible risks, I believe that the advantages of driverless vehicles are more significant. They can make transportation safer and more efficient. However, strict regulations and safety measures will be necessary to minimize the negative consequences
