In the upcoming cutting edge, all sort of transports will be driverless and people only commute and delivered goods here and there without driving the cars. I don’t think advantages of the driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages. Even though it has some pros being driverless vehicles, the cons will be outweighing the benefits of this development.
If public transport not required driver, people who are particularly disabled can move around anywhere without depending the driver. Sometimes, it is very difficult to get the public transport in the late night due to drivers are in the rest. When no drivers are required, it is easy to make sure to maintain public transport service all the time. Moreover, transporting the commodities all the times from one place to another is a big challenge because of long distance as drivers becomes exhausted due to long journey. While trucks can move without operator, it would be more convenient to transport our daily products.
Having said that if all kind of transport don’t required drivers, there will create significant unemployment. This is because most of the people choose their career as a driver. If AI takes the position of this, this people will be jobless. For example, in our country around 3% people leads their life through driving profession including buses, trucks and cars, they will be workless. Furthermore, there will be another sort of challenge. While the vehicle operating system will be lost, it would be hard to fix it. They may have impact in commuting in the driverless transport.
