It isn’t astonishing that our world is moving forward in term of the advancement and creating a comfort condition in our lives. This is also affects the way we read books nowadays. In the past, reading required visiting a library or purchasing a physical copy. However, everything has changed in the most simple way it possible. Thanks to smartphones, we can download electronic books for free, avoiding the risk of spending money on a hardback that we might eventually dislike. Which means we don’t have to go anywhere and buy the book that can be disliked later. On the another hand,I tend to think that it also has its own downside. For instance, extended screen reading causes digital eye strain and disrupted sleep patterns especially with blue light exposure before bed. Many people report lower comprehension and retention when reading digitally compared to print, partly because the physical experience of holding a book and turning pages helps anchor memory. Moreover,E-readers and tablets are also internet connected devices.
App switching, and the temptation to multitask make it harder to stay focused. Studies suggest people tend to skim more and read less carefully on screens. This is the reason why i do not considering e-books as a permanent replacement to a paper books.Because we have many people who have their own preferences in reading books that is distinguish from each other.
Accordingly, some people based on their circumstances might prefer e-books owing to its convenience or for busy people, who wants to read more but if the books contain so many pages it is more comfortable to them to read in online rather than carry it everywhere. And vice versa with paper books who is feed up with social networks and seeking for relaxation and for brain development at the same time.
Besides, paper books it is the classics with a length of centuries, that contains a trustworthy sources and the immortality of writers. At any rate,i hold the belief of In the balance between e-books and paper books.
