It is argued that schools are not needed for studyings because of the availability of a great amount of information in the internet, so that students and pupils can study at home. This essay will provide two reasons why information got from internet cannot completely replace schools.
Firstly, if children start learning only from internet, they would probably have difficulties with understandings. This is primarily because information in the internet is often written in academic language, which is not always understood by an ordinary young child, but if the teacher explains it properly, it would be easier for the student to assimilate a particular topic. Take maths as an example, students sometimes may struggle to solve equations because of the variety of the formulas that should be memorized,in this case, teachers at schools can explain and show how it is done, which internet cannot provide. As a result, students will have better understanding in maths, so they can move further in maths. Without this they can give up or stop being interested in this field
Secondly, in schools children will have a chance to develop their practical skills. For instance, in subjects such as physics and chemistry it is important to make observations and see some processes in real life in order to confirm theory and own knowledge. Thereby, not only do studying children can learn new things, but also have empirical evidence from observed reactions. In addition, they will have the ability to visualize, which can help with remembering the topic for a long time. In terms of internet, it cannot demonstrate the reactions and operations in front of pupils eyes, reducing the learning quality.
In conclusion, schools shouldn’t be substituted by internet information, since they can’t fully explain children some challenging moments and don’t have real proofs to confirm their learned matter.
