Nowadays, developments in technology shift people’s lifestyles and control our apartments, leisure, and work activities. Despite some possible advantages of this change, I personally consider it to be for the worse.
On the one hand, information technology makes life easier and saves time. This means that progress in technology makes people’s lives easier by organizing work deadlines and ordering food. For example, smart home devices allow people to control lighting and security systems through their phones, saving time and effort. Additionaly, remote working enables employees to work from anywhere, eliminating time consuming travel and reducing transit related delays. Flexibility in the workplace boost productivity and focus on core tasks without any distraction. For instance, in the past employees often wasted ahuge amount of time commuting to the office or dealing with minor work related obstacles. However, with the progress of information technology, many of these inefficiencies can be minimized. As a result, such a development helps not only employees streamline their workflow, but makes peoples life much easier and more convenient.
Despite the possible downsides, I,however, believe that this change can cause rather detrimental issues on society. One of the primary drawbacks is that with this such a development people tent to be obsessed with technology and limit life communications. Although technology simplify communication, it can not fully replace life contact, and overusing it may weaken interpersonal skills and emotinal connection. For instance, person who spent most of their time in technological devices may later struggle with face to face communication, leave them with sense of social isolation. Consequently, lack of human interactions may lead to emotional difficulties and weakened interpersonal skills. Another negative social drawback is spending large amount of time- in front of devices can lead to sedentary lifestyle, may be harmful for both mental health and eyes. When they are overexposed to technology excessive use of social media leads to social isolation and depression. As a result, it damage overall well-being.
In conclusion, although information technology has potential benefits, I believe that the drawbacks of these developments for individuals are more significant.
