Transitional travel is supposed to be a contributing factor to tourists as well as the countries visited. While oversea travel can exert desirable impacts on travelers and the countries visited, I endorse on opinion that its downsides overshadow its upsides.
On the one hand, it is undeniable that traveling abroad brought an abundance of redeeming features to visitors and the country visited. First of all, transnational travel paves the way for people to enrich their know-how. It can be exemplified by the fact that this activity is a golden chance for globetrotters to promote their understanding of mutual culture and get exposed to indigenous people coming from different social backgrounds. As a result, it is conducive to acquiring new knowledge and life experience. Secondly, there is little room for doubt that the development of overseas travel can create a favorable condition for locals to earn money to cover their living expenses. The reason is that tourists have a visitation to a destination and make a purchase on accommodation, transportation, food, and various services, followed by the improvement of local businesses which assist local communities to have a better income.
On the other hand, I subscribe to the opinion that the detrimental impacts of overseas travel would outshine those above benefits. To commence with, the growth of tourists can be a contributing factor to pollution in natural habitat. It can be explained by the fact that some irresponsible tourists throw a large amount of trash indiscriminately and most of it takes a long time to decompose. Consequently, it puts the animal species in jeopardy. Moreover, traveling abroad can deprive the travelers of their safety. An explanation is that travelers would become the victim of scam, crime and natural disasters. Accordingly, this can give rise to visitors’ personal injury risk and financial loss.
In conclusion, although I contend that the advantages of going to foreign countries should not be underestimated, I hold a belief that the negative effects of this trend outweigh the importance.
