Millions of years passed since the last dinosaur died. Due to evolution, some animals, plants, and even human species became extinct. As a science biologist, I believe in evolution, and I know the facts. Decades after decades, many kinds of our natural diversity are disappearing. Although, some new species have been found, as well as genetically modified species have been made by humans.
I agree with the statement, which says “there is no reason to prevent this natural process.” In my opinion, life is changing; nature is not constant. So many factors have their own effect on the environment. As a biologist myself, I can describe four factors. They are the physical, chemical, biological, and the human factors. I sincerely believe that the human factor is the most crucial among them. Physical factors include radiation, electricity, and UV lights. Chemical factors, which contain gases, organics, toxicity of elements, and radiation, are part of chemistry as well. For biological factors: bacteria, viruses, and the main one is natural selection. Lastly, human factors are industry waste dumped into water, gases in the air, climate change, water pollution, global warming, overconsumption, maximalism, and consumerism. As an example, I can use our city Almaty, which has a thick layer of smog; we breathe it and get damage to our lungs.
I do believe that all these factors have a huge effect on selection; some species can withstand changes, some are not capable of living in this world. As a result, weak species become extinct. All this process is a result of natural selection. Therefore, I have one opinion: someday in the future, our human species will become extinct too.
