One school of thought holds that it is more beneficial for individual to be unemployed than having an unfulfilling job. While some argue that having a job, even it is unsatisfying, is crucial for earning a livelihood, I maintain that job satisfaction is essential for both workers and their company.
On the one hand, it is understandable why some workers choose to have an unfulfilling job. Because having a job can offer employees many valuable opportunities, which may be important for their future. To elaborate, employees, especially those in entry-level positions, can still discover many chances to acquire hands-on experience, learn new technical or soft skills and advance along their career path. Moreover, having employment ensures a consistent income, which can provide financial stability and the ability to meet living expenses, and save for the future.
However, I am of the opinion that enduring an unsatisfactory work environment contributes to an unhealthy state of mind and wasting company resources. Having an unfulfilling job can make workers suffer from many metal health conditions such as stress or depression. This is because when people are unhappy with their job, they can not achieve a sense of purpose. Therefore, maintain working for a long time can give employees unpleased experiences, which is mainly cause stress and other mental health issues. In addition, unenthusiastic individuals will not contribute to a company’s growth. They tend to avoid extra efforts and procrastinate their work, because they consider their job as a burden. Hence, being unemployed is beneficial for both workers’ well-being and company.
In conclusion, it is evident that working in a job that people have no interest or satisfaction in is more detrimental to a corporation. As manufacturers can face financial losses and workers do not make an effort for a company’s prosperity, this attitude can ruin any firm
