These days, there are many arguments about the research methods which is made to learn the people who lived in the past. Some people think that films and video records are the best way to reach the the knowledge. However others believe that written documentaries are better to learn the accurate information. From my point of view, it depends on the people and their aims about the history.
On the one hand, after technological advancements people has become more lazy compared to the past time. Because they do not need to go to the libraries to reach the most accurate information about the history. According to tehir perspective, watching movies and videos attract their attention lot rather than reading something through the heavy books. It is seen that reading something is only time consumption also it is boring. Moreover, their language are so heavy to understand the subject. For instance, in the past time we had to go to the libraries to reach the relevant information. When we claim to borrow the relevant books, library staffs were creating many excuses not to give the sources. This is because, they were not able to copy or multiply them. If they lose the relevant item, it could not be found anywhere.
On the other hand, reaching knowledge and relevant information became much more easier. Many books could be found on internet. It is enough typing some key words about the topic in order to obtain the source. Also, we do not need to spend fortunes. However, still some people use the heavy books and buy them. Because they strictly believe that there many inaccurate knowledge on internet and watching movies and videos are the worse path to gain information especially about history. As an example, nowadays there many movies and tv series about the ottoman empire on the tv. Most of them are showed their magazinish and private life. We cannot find the accurate films about history. Because producers think that if they show the real life to the people, it could be found boring and uncompelling.
All things considered, most of the people watch these things to spend their lesire time. They do not have a target to reach the crucial information about the history. Because they are interedted in magazine. However there are many ways to reach the knowledge. I firmly believe that reading limited book is not enough to gain information on history. Many publishing should be read and they should be examined by the relevant people such as lecturers and professors.
