In the current digital age, the Internet is considered an indispensable factor in human lives. It has soon become widespread, reaching both big cities and the countryside. There is heated debate on how convenient life really is, firmly claiming that with the growth of the internet, living in the countryside is as convenient as in a big city. However, others oppose this idea.
On the one hand, the Internet is significantly useful for residents in the countryside. As the Internet grows, they may contact and keep in touch with their friends and loved ones from afar. For instance, coworkers from far distance can shorten move time by contacting thorugh phones, which also improves work performance. Also, they can entertain themselves through online applications and do shopping without directly getting to shops. This is somewhat similar to the convenience in cities.
On the other hand, it is my viewpoint for rural dwellers to live a less convenient life compared to urban ones. As can be seen, economy of where is underdeveloped makes it harder for people to satisfy their needs in aspects such as shopping or transport. For example, these people suffer to shop online because it takes a cost of money for transport from place to place. Furthermore, in order to use better network, the money paid is not that little. As a result, there are still drawbacks when using the Internet in rural areas compared to urban places.
In conclusion, it is more comfortable to live in cities despite the widespread appeal of the Internet. While living in the countryside is not as convenient as in a big city, I must admit that the Internet has improved our lives a lot wherever we live.
