In the present era of cutting-edge technology, all members of the family have their own digital devices such as smartphones, laptops, tablets. It leads to some people believing that this will adversely affect family relationships and communication. From my perspective, I completely disagree with the notion and the reasons will be pointed out in the following paragraphs.
The primary justification for why I disagree with the view is that modern devices bring many benefits including development in family relationships and improvement in communication skills. For example, parents can play educational games with their children instead of letting them play alone. In addition, they can attend the e-learning class or register for an online competition together. Through these activities, the relationship and communication between family members will be enhanced. Moreover, the confidence and sentiment of kids will br bonded also.
Furthermore, up to date technology can shorten gaps for each family member when they have geographic distance. For example, when parents have to go on a business trip in a different city or their chidren must study abroad, they can communicate with each other via technological devices. In detail, they can text, send voice messages, video call or share up and down moments. That brings them closer, and it seems there is no longer any geographical distance between them.
In conclusion, I completely argue that modern technology does not break down in family relationships and communication because it can adapt to cultivate member’s ties and decline the distance of their relationship.
