Giving children the opportunity to act independently so they can make their own decisions from childhood is an essential condition. I mostly agree with this statement, but it has some bad sides.
One of the primary reasons why it is crucial could be that by acting independently, children could face failure, and failure fuels power. Failure gives you power because it teaches resilience, growth, and adaptability. Every setback gives an opportunity to learn, improve, and come back stronger. When you fail, you gain new experience and develop problem-solving skills. For example, inventor of the Facebook company, Mark Zuckerberg, before realizing Facebook, had more than 100 projects that didn’t work. Considering all of his failures, he built one of the major companies in the world.
Another significant contributor could be that children can take harmful decisions that would change their lives, including decisions that contradict state laws, like drugs, smoking, drinking alcohol. Every child is an explorer. They want to try everything around them, but it needs to be something that is not against the law. For instance, a child that saw that by selling drugs people can earn a lot of money can take the decision to try it. Ultimately, they could be imprisoned for several years.
In conclusion, giving children the chance to act independently is an important way of teaching them so they can create a successful future by themselves, but still, this decisions could be just around the state laws. And to tackle with this problem effectively parents need to stop them from it, and encourage the bad sights of their decisions.
