Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Majority of people believe that it is vital for teenager to learn about local history more than global history. In my perspective, I disagree with this statement because by enhance our knowledge about world history gives us more point of view to approach a problem and we can copy some regulations that will produce benefits to us.

Nowadays, learning about world past gives us some advantages. To begin, a new problem that occur in a country can be tackle by acquire new sight from other countries. For example, as an Indonesian, when a disease breaks in our country, we do not know how to cure it . So, we will seek help from a countries where they had this kind of problem in the past in hope that we can find the solution to eliminate the pandemic.

Secondly, many countries in the world has laws that we can apply as our own. It is a fact that a country who had a late independence may copy a lot of regulations in order to bring stability for some time. Because they believe laws that come from nation who had a long history of independence already gone through a lot of evaluation and discussion to match people needs.

In conclusion, I deny that local history is more important. It is true that local history is essential for our identity; but, if we looking at big picture, we can acquire a lot of opinion, advice and suggestion to help us develop. Furthermore, foreign laws can be converted and implied to match our country condition. In the future, I recommend that schools should teach equally about local and global history.
