In recent years, advertising items has become so common for big businesses at special sporting events. In this regard, some individuals assume that this development has adverse effects on sports. However, I strongly disagree with this view because it benefits the quality of games and the development of sports services.
First and foremost, product advertisements in sports events are able to make matches more interesting as they boost the competitive process. Athletes usually have to perform very well, not only for the sake of their teams and cities but also for the expectations of patronage unions. This pressure on sportsmen can create a fiercely competitive process during games. An illustration of such high pressure is visible in European football, where players perform their best in matches to satisfy patronage companies.
Moreover, large unions provide huge improvements in sports facilities. Sponsorships from large businesses often offer significant financial support, which can improve stadiums, training programs, and services for spectators much quicker than teams do without patronage companies. For example, a well-known football club, Real Madrid, has improved all services of its stadium and training programs significantly within just a few years thanks to substantial sponsorship deals. In contrast, the smaller club, Kokand-1912, took almost a decade to achieve similar improvements without the backing of sponsors.
In conclusion, companies should be free to advertise their products at sports events, as it improves the quality of matches and boosts the improvement of sports facilities. Those who view advertising in sports negatively should consider these potential advantages.
