Advertising of companies’ goods and services at large events, such as football championships, Olympic games, and others, is considered to have a negative influence on sports. In my view, these promotions do not damage the championships, as the main attention of spectators is on the games and competitions. Moreover, advertising brings significant revenue for sport teams and organizers, allowing them to organize more such events.
The primary purpose of sports events is the demonstration of athletic activities and competitions, attracting people to sports, while advertisements play only a supplementary role. For example, football championships have long been popular among people from different countries, and stadiums are always crowded, indicating a high level of interest in sports among the population.
Additionally, advertising not only allows companies to promote their products but also serves as a crucial funding source for games. Sponsorships have always been essential in organizing sports events, and advertisements, such as logos on team uniforms and commercials on screens, do not detract from the main event. Furthermore, large companies like Adidas, Puma, and Nike are primarily interested in supporting sports activities, creating a beneficial situation for all event participants, which undoubtedly aids in the development of lesser-known sports and teams.
In conclusion, while product promotions may attract some attention from spectators, it remains possible to enjoy sports competitions without significant inconvenience. Moreover, advertising helps to provide funding for sports events of various levels, contributing positively to the sports industry.
