The notion that limiting non-essential flights such as tourists travel has become a topic of heated debate. While some argue that it is an effective way due to the amount of fuel that is produced and potential of air pollution , I strongly disagree with this perspective because unimportant flights are more beneficial in terms of contributing to the revenue of the country and development of that place.
First and foremost, tourists travel is essential because it can attract foreign tourists. For example, in Indonesia, Bali is the most popular destination in Indonesia that relies on visitors for its development, so that their income on average is higher than other places. If flight for tourists journey were not prioritized, it can negatively impact societies, which would undermine the potential of economic development of that area.
Furthermore, ensuring the availability of flights can attract many investors to invest in development for the area surrounding tourism destinations. Governments can work with them to maintain the mutual collaboration of some developments that significantly contribute to open the opportunities of local people. For instance, essential public services such as hospitals, schools, and stores may be built in the heart of the city, ensuring local residents can have access to those places too.
On the contrary, it acknowledges that the utilization of unnecessary flights negatively affects the environment. Statically prove that the amount one flight equals one car that can be used for many years. However, traveling by airplane is safer for some people rather than using vehicles due to the traffic jam, road accidents, and other unexpected circumstances.
In conclusion, while prohibition of non-essential flights are needed to reduce the amount of fuel and minimize the air pollution, I firmly believe that that step is not a good idea. Tourist travels can attract global visitors to visit tourism destinations, contribute to the revenue of the country, and open a way for investors supporting the developments. As a result, I disagree with the limitation of tourists travel flights.
