In the rapid changing modern world there are many development that benifits people, creating oppertunities, providing help or aid to those who need. There are also some that creats larger inequality, or oppresion to people. Technology development is a significant point that can not be ignored, in now days technology level in various parts of the world is extremely uneven.
In one point of view modern technology helps bringing people together, for example global transportation, the invention of planes and trains made global transportation never more convinent, One person could fly from the northern hamsphere to the southern within one day, in ancient time the person might never had the chance to step foot out of his own town. The ability of global transportation made not only people transfer but also the transportation of values and resources. Human as society animal naturally had the ability of cooperation and tends to live in society, the transportation of values and resources brought people to one society, values unit it and resources helps building it.
However, on the other hand a rising voice of technology has driven people apart, an obvious point of view is the development of weapons, weapons after centries of development has became more lethal, the improvment of industrial technology made it easier to manufacture. Simple bomb made in civilian house could cause great damage when used in the terrorists hand, the Boston bombing and Moscow terrorists attack are all great example. Such technology means that any small group with diffrent voices than society can decide to use violence, the low cost efficient solution of violence will certainly increase the amount of extremist, revolutionist, terroist, dividing the society through blood and fire.
In my point view though technology development has its down-sides, I still belive that afterall it is bring people together, people has always had conflict, it is due to inequility, but eventually the development of technology will grant everyone their wish and creat a world without inequility or nessasity to perform violence.
