Band 5+: Many companies are now implementing remote work policies. Some argue that this leads to increased productivity and better work-life balance, while others believe it diminishes teamwork and company culture. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Due to advancements in technology, it has helped to give more opportunities for people to work remotely. Some people believes that through this way of working, it helps to imporve the work-life balance of people, other people would argue that it may lead to social isolation and a decreased in productivity. While it is a cheaper and more comfortable way of work due to no longer needing to do all the commuting and getting up early. In my opinion, I think despite all the possible drawbacks, working remotely is still better.

Working remotely may seem to decrease productivity as employees are now in more control of what they want to do. This may actually have the opposite effect of what their bosses thougth can happen, as while they may actually spend more time slacking off, their productivity may be as high as ever before. As not only are they now allowed to wake up later meaning they are no longer sleep deprived and therefore more efficient in their work, they do not need to deal with the morning commute which may have been eating into some of their productivity.

While it is true that employees now would not be able to interact with their peers as much as before. The drawbacks may not be as bad as it seems, as usually these employess would already have a family anyway so the idea of social isolation would already be fixed, but on the other hand there is employees who do not have a family life. It still is better as giving these workers more free time helps them to find their significant other and sooner or later the problem of social isolation would be solved all together.

In conclusion, I do believe that it still is a better idea for everyone to be working remotely, as it helps to eliminate the time and cost to commute to work every single morning that otherwise could have been spent on more sleep that could improve their productivity. It may also lead to social isolation but those who are already working, already have a family so the problem as a whole would be solved, on the other hand there still is single workers but by giving them more free time allows them to meet people and give them opportunities to start a family, solving the problem anyway.
